Appartamento al centro storico

This old building is centrally located, but the apartment needs renovation. The managers didn’t dispute our criticisms and admitted there were problems. The bedroom is large, with a double bed and two singles, but it’s so overfilled, like the rest of the apartment, that the space feels cramped and dark. Cleanliness was very, very poor. The curtains have holes, the lighting is insufficient, and there’s a damp, musty smell. A French window opens onto a small balcony over a cobblestone street, where passing vehicles are noisy even with the window shut. Getting in means climbing several steps. The bathroom is tiny, has no window or vent, and its door opens into a small windowless room that’s rather misleadingly called a living room, with a sofa bed. The bathtub is tall and damaged, with a seat inside, so showering means keeping one foot on the bottom and one on the seat. Awful. The toilet flush is very loud, and the electrical outlet comes out of the wall. The kitchen could be nice if updated, with two windows looking onto a lovely little courtyard. There’s also a strange smell in the room.

For the price, it offers more than expected and does exactly what you need, so I’d recommend it. We were there for one night; it was good and clean, and the person who helped us was friendly. That’s just my subjective opinion.

We slept really well, and the owner was very helpful.
