The drive to the property was the one part I didn’t enjoy as much. Once there, though, it was incredible. Paty is one of a kind, the views are beautiful, and breakfast is fantastic, especially the fresh bread, eggs from her chickens, and homemade fig jam. The home-cooked lunch and dinner were AMAZING too!

Casa Gallida worked wonderfully as a base for exploring eastern Sicily. We drove to Syracuse, Taormina, Catania, the Alcantara Gorges and Savoca, especially fun for fans of "The Godfather". We even managed a short, child-friendly hike on Mount Etna. Our family stayed in the Riposto cottage and loved it. It has a pleasant terrace and a stunning view, with greenery all around and plenty of peace and quiet. Paty and Thierry looked after us so well and shared helpful tips for our outings. We’d love to return for another idyllic holiday.

The house and its huge garden make a dreamy place to settle in while exploring Mount Etna and the area around it. The views are breathtaking, and Patricia and Thierry welcomed us so warmly. We’re very grateful, and would definitely like to come back :)

The view was incredible and the location was exceptional, making for a superb stay. Paty and Thierry were terrific hosts, the kind you rarely come across.
