Roberto was incredibly kind and helpful. The pool was pleasant and always clean, and the two cats and dog were very sweet. They aren't allowed in the house, so it works for allergy sufferers too. There's a knack to using the grill. One grate works as a spacer between the grill and the floor, with briquettes placed on it, and you can hang the second grate over it. That gives the charcoal enough air. Add plenty of lighter fluid and methylated spirits and you're set! 😁 I took off one star for value for money. For the price, the furnishings could be better. Some drawers in the cabinets and nightstands either wouldn't open or took a lot of force, and the doors creaked. Those would be easy repairs with a big effect. A wider choice of glasses, including wine glasses, would also be nice. Sure, some break, but that's to be expected at this price. 😉 These are small things I wouldn't have complained about if the accommodation had cost less. What disappointed me a lot was that you could only enjoy the view from beside the hedge or on the balconies. I'd have liked a small viewing window, or something similar, from the seating area or the pool. The access road is partly unpaved, which we hadn't been told beforehand. It has a gravel stretch and some extremely bad potholes, and the bends are very tight and blind.

The pool is stunning, and the views are just as memorable. Set among greenery in a place full of history, the residence feels special and relaxing. It’s also only minutes from busier spots, which can sometimes feel a little too chaotic.

Comfortable and peaceful, it felt like a little oasis.
