My partner and I booked this hotel through Booking.com while travelling in Italy. During our trip, the security situation in Israel escalated, the airspace closed and our return flight was cancelled. After several days stranded, we were finally offered seats on a rescue flight home to our children. We contacted the hotel right away, explained what had happened and asked for some understanding or flexibility in circumstances completely beyond our control. They refused to help in any way, citing “contract terms” without empathy or consideration. It was very disappointing. Hospitality is also about how people are treated, not just policies. Travelers should think twice before booking here.

The staff were welcoming and helpful, and the room was tidy, clean and well equipped. The town is small. The hotel is across the street from its wall and only a few minutes' drive from the Gladiator sets.

The only small inconvenience was finding parking. Otherwise, the rooms were very clean, the staff were lovely and always helpful, and the terrace was stunning. You can have breakfast or an aperol there with a perfect view of Val d'orcia. The hotel is right in the heart of Pienza, and the city center is five minutes away on foot.

Breakfast on the terrace was very good, with amazing views over the valley. I felt welcome in this small Pienza hotel, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was nice, with a wonderful bathroom.

We had a comfortable room and bed, with a lovely view of the countryside. Breakfast was outstanding: there were six or seven different cakes and tarts, all delicious, plus savory choices like quiche, grilled vegetables and eggs. The breakfast area overlooks the valley, and when the weather allows you can eat outside on the patio. Across the street from Pienza’s historic center, it’s also convenient for exploring the beautiful Val D'Orcia area. Great place, and we hope to return someday!
