The atmosphere is what makes this place special: calm, intimate, and full of character. It feels like being welcomed into a space someone has cared for deeply, rather than just checking into a hotel. The whole place is thoughtfully put together, with lovely rooms that mix Tuscan charm with understated elegance. Everything from the linens and lighting to the garden, scents, soft music, and breakfast feels carefully chosen by someone who wants guests to feel special. We felt at home and thoroughly spoiled. A true gem in the heart of Tuscany, and somewhere I’d happily return to again and again.

La Saracina feels like a hidden gem out in the Tuscan countryside. Sisters Gabriella & Simonetta welcome everyone so warmly, and their effortless hospitality goes hand in hand with a wonderfully chic design style. You have to experience the place to understand its charm. We keep coming back, and now it feels like a home away from home.

Back at La Sarancina for a second visit, and I still can’t picture myself staying anywhere else in Tuscany. Simonetta, Gabriella, and Laura make the time there special. The setting is peaceful and beautiful, with thoughtful details everywhere, lovely decor, and really good food. It’s the kind of calm you hope to find under the Tuscan sun.

The grounds and views make it hard to leave, and even the little helper Otto, a spaniel mix, adds to the welcome. This is a quiet, elegant farmhouse with updated amenities and Wi-Fi that works well, so you don’t have to feel cut off. Gabrielle and the team work hard to keep things comfortable and stress-free. It’s an easy drive to other places, including Montepulciano wines like Brunello and Vin Nobile. I’ve stayed at 4+ star places in Napa, and they could learn from this one. No comparison.

The pool was just right, and the location worked well for visiting Montepulciano, Pienza, and this part of southern Tuscany. My wife and I spent four nights here in September and were completely taken with it. The staff are warm and lovely, and because it’s a small hotel, dinner feels like a family occasion. Guests gather for a drink before eating and watch the sunset. The place is beautiful, with care given to every detail. We’ll definitely return, and couldn’t recommend it more.
