The rooms are tiny and old, management was rude, and breakfast was a joke. The hotel is several rows back from the beach, with quite a walk to its so-called “private beach.” That beach has nothing to do with the hotel, and the discounted chairs are only in the very last row, by the toilets. The pool closes from 12 to 3 pm, and the place is far from the city center. It felt more like a one-star motel than a three-star hotel, and the advertising was false. Stay away if you want to enjoy your time in Pietra Ligure.

We rented an apartment from September 15th to 21st for a holiday with my young son. The staff were very kind, and the garden was well kept. We spent a few mornings and afternoons by the pool, too. The day before checkout, I asked reception about a room for my older son, and they found one straight away. Everything is within walking distance, with the center about 10 minutes away. Pietra Ligure is a beautiful little village. I’ll be back at Hotel Miriam in Pietra Ligure.

My older son joined my younger son and me during our relaxing holiday from September 15th to 21st. The staff were very kind, and everything is close by, including the sea. I recommend it, and I’ll be back.

The apartment in the residence section felt a little cramped for five. I’d hoped for something larger. There were a few practical gaps, too: no detergent for daily or weekly cleaning of dishes and the kitchen, and exactly five of each utensil, plate, and glass, with nothing extra. On the plus side, the management is family friendly and willing to meet special requests. The property and rooms were clean, and the indoor pools were tidy and worked well. The mess caused by a few guests who behaved badly can’t really be blamed on management. The location is handy for both the beach and the center, and the little evening train helps if you’re feeling lazy or can’t manage the walk. It’s an interesting option in a town with relatively little competition of this kind. They’re very good entrepreneurs and property managers.
