B&B Monte Splendore

We loved the peaceful walks through the woods and the rooms, which were clean, comfortable, and had an enviable view. Aga & Jim prepare the meals with care and make you feel even better than at home. The place is enchanting, tucked into the green Umbrian Apennines, and the saltwater pool is beautiful and very clean, with the added benefit of being healthier than a traditional chlorine pool.

The hosts looked after us so well, and the pool was lovely, with amazing views in every direction. We also stocked up on local wine and cheese and ate at local family restaurants. It was such a special end-of-summer break with friends, surrounded by beautiful autumn mountains, sunshine, and butterflies everywhere. I loved the old Italian farmhouse feel and all the thought put into the rooms and shared spaces, down to stylish, arty touches like the coffee table books in each room. It was so relaxing to get away and unplug.

The mountain is breathtaking, and I’d happily stay again. I came to get away from the city and had a wonderful week, with a great pool, a clean, comfy room, and hosts who were excellent company. There’s fascinating history nearby and amazing places to eat. Highly recommended.

The hosts were charming and so communicative, and the setting was gorgeous. Finding this hidden gem felt sublime, and I feel lucky I came across it. One of the most incredible experiences ever. I’d highly recommend it!
