Casa Filanda

The outdoor pool was clean and nice, and the location is perfect for Lake Ledro. It's good value for money. The apartments could use a few more things to make the kitchen fully usable for a weekend.

We arrived expecting something like the photos, but the apartment was a disaster. When my one-year-old crawled on the floor briefly, his hands and feet turned black. The furnishings need a complete overhaul, and it felt like no money had been put into the holiday apartments. Cables hung out of the ceiling lights, kitchen handles were broken, there were holes in the floor, and the furnishings seemed worth less than the €100 deposit. The garden and pool are advertised so heavily that we got the impression they were only for the hotel owner's children, who live next door. We raised our concerns with the staff and were told, "Yes, we know this, you're not the first one!" Ms. Trenkwalder, the TUI consultant, wasn't much help either. I asked whether ants on the kitchen counter and table were normal, and she said Lake Garda is a natural area and we had to expect it. We cut our stay short and found a hotel in Riva del Garda for a few more days. We won't book this again, and this was our first and last time using a holiday rental.

The pool gets used by the hotel owner's children. The furnishings feel neglected but are okay, and the Wi-Fi is weak and keeps dropping out.

We did eventually get an apartment in the same house that had enough room for us, and it looked better. But it was completely different from the picture we had booked from. We had originally rented a different house, then were sent to this one, which looked dirtier and nothing like it. When we complained, she explained that the other house was better and for seven people, with two single beds, a double bed, and a sofa bed for one. There were only five of us, and we didn't fit, so we argued for ages before finally getting the other apartment.
