It’s a beautiful spot, but be prepared for the drive up: about 10 minutes on narrow, winding roads. Bring food with you. There’s a small restaurant and grocery nearby, though it’s closed in the mornings.

We stayed in Stalla, a modern, well equipped apartment with outstanding views. There are lots of nice touches, from vegetables in the garden to the pool and the animals nearby, and the house sits at the edge of the medieval village of Sollico. The Agriturismo is really well done and the setting is breathtaking. It’s quite remote, and there were lots of flies while we stayed near the animals, but this was still an exceptional stay.
The owners were warm and helpful, and the whole property was kept in great shape. It’s an ideal place for a laid back holiday, with amazing views. The nearby village of Sillico is well worth visiting.
Lovely people run this top class place.
We spent three lovely weeks in La Stalla. It’s a bit secluded, so you’ll need a car, but the views make the location worthwhile. The courtyard is gorgeous and very well kept, with sheep, goats, chickens, a few cows and geese. Kids can use the little playground, and when the weather allows, there’s the pool too. The apartment was spotless and spacious, with empty closets for our things. It was also thoughtfully equipped with dishes, pots, pans, a moka pot, kettle and hairdryer.
