We had a great mix of relaxing and energizing days. Beef night was outstanding, and breakfast each morning was lovely. We had dinner delivered to our apartment, walked the farm vineyards overlooking the lake, and enjoyed clear skies full of stars. We also went wine tasting at a nearby vineyard and horse riding. This is the first place where tobacco was grown in Italy, and Michaelango's birthplace is here too.

Even with plenty of rain, our family of four, with kids aged 10 and 13, had an amazing April stay at Le Ceregne. Giada was warm and genuine, and put together several memorable outings: cheese making and tasting on a mountain in a nature reserve, olive oil and baked goods at a local olive farm, and archery lessons. She also arranged local restaurant reservations. We took cooking classes from her at Le Ceregne, then had a steak dinner with beef from a local butcher, cut and cooked in front of us. Our two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment was clean, spacious, and comfortable for the four of us, with a full kitchen and fridge. The setting is quiet and off the beaten path, but still close to lovely small towns like Anghiari and Sansepolcro, with shops, restaurants, and plenty to see. Breakfast was a treat each morning: meats, cheeses, baked goods, and eggs from the farm or nearby producers.

The landscape around here is beautiful, with lots of hidden gems. Giada and her team were incredibly friendly, and made our week really relaxing. We had a very nice stay and would definitely come back to this part of Tuscany.

We loved our week at Le Ceregne. It’s around 45 minutes from Arezzo, and you do need a car to get around, but the agriturismo is well placed for nearby attractions, including Anghiari, Michaelangelo's birthplace, and San Marino. It was a great base for the kids: archery, biking, lots of cats, and a cooking class where they made pasta and pizza. At breakfast, the lady whose name I’m embarrassed to have forgotten was incredibly kind. She made great omelettes and eggs for the kids, and excellent cappuccinos. Giada was a lovely host. After the cooking class, we enjoyed sitting with her and chatting about life in Tuscany. Thanks for your hospitality!

The place is magical, and Giada is a terrific host, chef, teacher, and fixer. We had a fantastic March week in the cozy villa-style apartments. When we arrived, she was there with her wonderful mum, lovely dogs and cats, and frogs singing by the lake. The stay feels natural and private, with no pressure or overly touristy atmosphere. It is quite a drive, and there are no pubs, restaurants, or city lights within a 20-minute drive, so expect to slow down and switch off. I still managed to run a work meeting on my iPad, thanks to the excellent Wi-Fi. Giada’s cooking class was enlightening. I learned how to tell when dough is proved and has the right elasticity for rolling pasta. She also showed us how to make excellent sauces from simple ingredients, like onion, fresh tomatoes, and pasta water, without opening loads of shop-bought items like passata and piles of herbs. She arranged a truffle hunt with a friend, which was fascinating and gave us three meals of amazing truffle eggs, truffle pasta, and crostini. This was a perfect holiday with our little daughter, who was 1 1/2. We felt safe and comfortable, while still having new activities to enjoy. One of my most memorable things was evening walks through the olive groves and orchard with her cousin, who’s also a master brewer, as he pruned trees around us. The smell of her mother’s Ragu of wood pigeon, wild duck, and boar drifting from the kitchen was gorgeous.
