The host was charming, but the bed and bedding were a letdown. My mattress was very poor, and the sheets were uncomfortable. I’m afraid I can’t recommend staying here.

For us pilgrims walking the Via di Francesco, this was a wonderful one-night stay. Paulo Gennaioli was a friendly host and a talented Italian painter and artist. The clean room had its own private bathroom, and breakfast the next morning was Italian style with excellent coffee. The building goes back to the 13th century and has a lot of atmosphere, with Paulo’s Artworks displayed in several rooms. We’d recommend this kind of stay to other pilgrims.

What made the difference for us was the people. We were pilgrims here for one night and were very happy to be Paolo's guests. His welcome, the great art in the rooms, and excellent breakfast coffee made this medieval house far better than a standard tourist hotel.
