Breakfast and dinner each day felt like royal treatment, and the family let us taste the excellent wines they make at Cantina Giorni. The food was delicious, and the service from the owner and staff was the best I’ve ever experienced. We chose Giorni Resort for the countryside, its high rating, and its beautiful look, and stayed in the second week of October. The historic building and rooms were even more beautiful than we expected, and the care we received was incredible. They also offered us electric bikes for a long ride through the countryside. I’d recommend the resort to anyone who enjoys historic architecture and being treated especially well.

The room was perfect, and the hotel has its own beauty and a relaxing feel. We’ve been reviewing the hotels we stay in while traveling around Europe, and on our Italy trip we chose to explore the countryside here. But the staff didn’t speak English, and when I asked the person I thought was the receptionist about the hotel’s history and nearby sights, she just laughed loudly at us. Meals were also a problem: we got lamb instead of beef, and another wrong order instead of eggs with bacon. The place itself is really nice. It would be better to have an English speaker at reception and, somehow, in the restaurant.

A hidden gem near Potenza, with a beautiful palazzo and rooms designed exceptionally well. There’s an exclusive spa, the service is exceptional, and both breakfast and dinner were perfect.

Nicola and his team have made this place into an oasis of a palazzo. The service and location are fantastic, it’s great for couples, and it’s pet friendly.

The stone floors and stairs may be an issue for some, but this is a stunning rustic hotel. I’m sorry I only stayed one night.
