It looks like a great place, but it’s frustrating not to find prices on Google Maps, the website, or TripAdvisor. You have to call or email just to get a basic rate, which makes planning a trip difficult. In 2026, nightly prices should be easy to check. I hope they update this soon, because I’d be glad to revise my review.
The campsite is fine apart from the railway just a few meters away. Trains go past noisily, and there are lots of them during the day.
The beach is only a few steps away, and the staff were helpful. Our Buccaneer couldn’t get through two of the underpasses, but once we found the one it fit through, the campsite was easy to reach. The site itself was fine, though very close to a very noisy railway. You definitely need earplugs. The shower area could use a good clean, but it was okay for a few days. A large washing machine costs €6.
We were there a little off-season, with changeable weather and quite a bit of rain. The campsite was clean and laid out well, and it was very dog friendly, close to a pebble beach. Having our own toilet, shower, and washing-up spot by the pitch was handy. Our pitch was right beside the main railway, though, so light sleepers should know what to expect. Earplugs are needed.
The train noise was the one downside, and it went on 24/7. Otherwise, we liked the site across the road from a pleasant stony beach. It worked well for getting out running, walking, and cycling. Someone gave me a very good map with decent cycling routes into the mountains. The restaurant was nice, and the food was good.
