Pineto Resort

Top.

The staff were consistently kind and friendly, but our week-long stay at the end of August with a small child was disappointing overall. We’d been promised a deluxe quadruple room, yet it felt cramped. There was no proper closet, only two shelves and open hangers, and no refrigerator. We chose full board, but the food was poor. We and other guests felt sick a couple of times. The dishes were oily, and the buffet side dishes were limited in quantity for the number of guests, with little variety and poor quality. Breakfast was plentiful, but the vending machine offered only hot drinks. We drink cold milk, and were shocked to find we had to pay for it. There was no real entertainment. A young woman tried to lead some muscle toning, but that wasn’t enough to count as activities. There’s a hot tub, but it costs extra. One evening the pool was rented for a private party, so guests couldn’t use it that afternoon. The DJ played at blasting volume until 2 a.m., even though the hotel was full of families with small children. We complained to reception at 1 a.m., but the noise continued. The staff’s kindness doesn’t change my overall negative rating.

The huge pool surrounded by greenery was lovely, and the sea was just a short walk away along a bike path. We’d planned to stay one night in September on the way back from vacation, but Pineto Resort was so beautiful and welcoming that my partner and I decided to add another. The staff were super welcoming and kind. We also joined the Abruzzo evening, with delicious traditional food, themed music, and wonderful entertainment. I’d recommend it to families with children, couples, and teenagers.

Romina at the front desk was always kind and helpful, and Antonio on the beach was thoughtful and attentive. My family, including our 10-month-old and 4-year-old, had a good stay overall. The atmosphere was welcoming and familiar, and the convenient, quiet location was great for relaxing. The room felt a little small for us, and the buffet was good but had a somewhat limited selection. A play area for children would be appreciated, especially after meals or in bad weather. Still, we’re taking home fond memories. Recommended.
