Ca' De Memi

As a chicken owner and enthusiast, I loved getting a personal tour of the farm and seeing all the breeds they’re raising. We talked about plants and antique chicken breeds, and I went home with some of their delicious jams and other products. Max welcomed us and helped us sort out dinner. Michela, Otto and Giulia shared their passion for their family business. The farmhouse was beautiful, stylish, warm and welcoming, with a delicious breakfast made with homemade products and friendly staff and family. A very special experience. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and nicely decorated, and you can tell this is a family home where guests are welcomed. Giulia, her mother Michela and their small staff were friendly and helpful, with great tips on places to eat and things to see nearby. The farmhouse sits just outside a small town near Padua, making it a good base for exploring. Giulia’s husband’s family have lived here for generations, and the place is named after her grandfather Geminiano, known as Memi. A large garden and orchard surround the house, along with a chicken run. Much of the food served comes from the family’s own produce. You can also buy eggs, homemade preserves and pasta. I loved the copper pan collection decorating one wall of the big kitchen where breakfast is served.

I really enjoyed Ca’de Memo. The views are beautiful and the place has an old-fashioned feel. The food was delicious, and there was everything we needed. We felt at home and very welcome. The service was excellent, and the food was homemade. Thank you.🙏😊

Breakfast was magical, with homemade cakes, cookies, jams, tomatoes, figs and juices, plus plenty of other choices like butter, cereal, yogurt, homemade bread and fruit. We sat outside on a warm summer morning, and they made us a delicious omelette with their own eggs. The farm products are sold with cute labels, so we bought a few as souvenirs. This place is charming, and you can see the care in every detail. There are little chicken drawings and decorations everywhere. The owners are kind and welcoming, and speak English very well. Our room was clean, the bed extra comfortable, and the linen and towels were great. They even provided small shampoo and soap, which I appreciated. We only stayed one night, but would have stayed longer if we could. The new pool is a real highlight, surrounded by lovely fig trees, with a view of the chickens. They provide sunbeds, pool towels and an outdoor shower. There’s a large private car park too, and Bassano is 45 minutes away, definitely worth visiting. There’s a grocery shop nearby if you need something. You won’t go hungry here, since Ca’ de Memi can also prepare lunch, dinner, snacks and drinks. There’s no menu, they make whatever they have from the farm that day. I saw in other reviews that they offer a pasta cooking class. I’m so sad I didn’t know about it, I would have booked it right away if I had! 🥹
