Villa Santa Giulia

Riccardo and Donata are fantastic hosts who make you feel at home. I return with my family whenever I can, and our gorgeous husky loves running around in the greenery around the villa. The location is wonderful, with lots of green space, beautiful apartments to rent and pets welcome. It’s just a two-minute walk to the sea, and a perfect place for a relaxing stay in nature. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

We stayed in the Frantoio, a splendid apartment with a patio and the old olive mills inside. It was amazing. The apartment was fully equipped and expertly renovated, like the others in this beautiful period villa, which has been divided into apartments. The garden is lovely, with lots of shaded “sails” furnished with tables and loungers. It’s ideal for a quiet, relaxing break away from the crowds. The sea is walkable, though I’d recommend driving to the Sterpaia protected park and Mortelliccio beach, where there are beautiful public beaches and beach clubs. There’s also a hilly park behind the villa, good for walks and hikes. Many thanks to Riccardo and his wife for their warm welcome and hospitality, and for the basket of apricots from their tree. We hope to be back soon. Unforgettable.

The owners are so kind and meticulous, and everything is kept functional and in good shape. The grounds are huge and carefully maintained, with a private spot for each apartment, including a table, chairs and an awning. All the apartments I’ve stayed in were well equipped and maintained, with dishwashers and washing machines, or shared laundry access in the two-room apartments. There are several apartment types, and I’ve been back more than once. Every time, I leave with a piece of my heart there. Torre Mozza, Pratoraneri and Sterpaia are about a five-minute drive away. The large garden is wonderful, and the view of the surrounding hills is a joy. We spent a week in the comfortable, fully equipped Olivi suite on the second floor and were very happy with our stay. Riccardo and Donatella were welcoming and helpful to us and our two dogs. See you soon, Fabiana.
