Hotel Florida

The breakfast was good, and they had decent shampoo and other toiletries, but I wouldn't recommend staying here. Our Booking reservation wasn't recognized, so we paid €30 extra for three rooms, €210 altogether. The rooms were damaged and looked as if nothing had been updated in 20 years. We would normally have looked elsewhere, but it was too late, so we stayed. The double bed was two separate mattresses and quite uncomfortable, and the bathroom was untidy with mold in the shower. In my opinion, checkout at 10 was too early.

It took the woman more than 30 minutes to prepare our invoice and enter our names and company correctly, even though we'd given her business cards. Before that, a woman over 70 from Texas accidentally opened my room with her key, and another colleague's key worked on my door too. The bathroom was very dirty when I checked in, with hair in it, and I'm blond. The hotel was filthy, seemed to have had no investment, and the breakfast was terrible. I wouldn't stay again even if it were the only hotel in the world.

At checkout we were charged an extra €20 for four cereal bars, each only a few bites, after the woman in charge had told us at breakfast we could take no more than one per person. She said they were for sale, even though they were on the buffet with everything else. I was in a rush to catch transport to our next destination, so we paid instead of calling the tourist police or someone. We told them how rude and unprofessional they were. Getting there hadn't gone well either. After midnight, the staff spent 30 minutes telling us there were no rooms available because they couldn't find our booking.

The service wasn't great, and the place hasn't aged well. I wouldn't recommend it.
