B&B Window To The Tower

The location is great, just down from the tower, but the room was dreadful. The shared bathroom was filthy and the shower was broken, the window was broken too, and several light bulbs were missing so the room was poorly lit. The door handle came off in my hand. Staff already knew about it and said they’d fix it, but they never did. They also refused to discuss any kind of refund. The whole stay was really disappointing.

I came home with bites, and the towels weren’t changed during my stay. No one showed up to give me the keys, either. The cleaner was lovely, though, and I had to ask her to let me into the room. They said there was a €5 tax to pay, but I’m still waiting for the invoice. Customer service was nonexistent. Worst B&B I’ve ever stayed in.

The location is the main thing this B&B has going for it. It’s close to the attractions, so it could do for a one-night stay, but I wouldn’t recommend staying longer. I paid 100 euros, and the room was in rough shape for that price. The TV didn’t work, and of the two switches, one was broken. The bathroom, shared with another room, was old and clearly worn. The bidet was shuttered, there was no soap, and a smell kept coming from the bathroom. Breakfast at nearby bars was very meagre, just a coffee or juice and a croissant. The owner or person in charge tried her best, but that didn’t make up for the room problems.

The location is really hard to beat, right by the tower as soon as you step outside. Our room was large and had a nice couch, and the bathroom was okay. It got a bit warm without air conditioning. We arrived just after the manager had left, but I called him and he came straight back to check us in. The keys were the biggest headache, it was hard to remember which one went where. There’s no lift, so luggage has to be carried upstairs, and parking nearby is a bit difficult.
