Blue Shades Aparthotel

I felt uncomfortable here. The room wasn't cleaned well, and the furniture was old and worn. There was an unpleasant smell in the toilet, and both the bathroom and plumbing need repairs. The hotel really needs renovation. One of the worst places I've stayed.

The only upside was being within walking distance of the airport. Otherwise, this was a horrible stay and a terrible deal for the price. The place is very run-down, and the photos look like they date from the 1980s. Some aren't even of the property. Paint was peeling everywhere, and trees had grown over the water slide. It hasn't had any proper renovation or refresh since it was built. There was loud music late into the night, a horrible kitchen smell in the room, and mosquitoes buzzing all night. The bathroom was dreadful, with black mould, a missing shower screen, a leak, and a broken handle. The AC barely worked. We couldn't sleep until nearly midnight even though we had an early flight. The staff seem used to complaints. They just shrugged with rude smiles. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

My flight got cancelled, and Ryanair put me up at Blue shades apart Hotel, really close to the airport. The people there were great, and I got a wonderful night's sleep and a good shower. They turned a flight cancellation into a fun day in Pisa. 10/10, I'd get “stuck” there again! 😁👌

I hadn't planned to stay at Blue shades, but booked it at the last minute when a medical emergency meant I had to go home. It was the nearest hotel to the airport. I couldn't walk and had no way to get into the building. My cousin called ahead to explain and ask for help getting me to a room. They didn't have a wheelchair, but said they'd do what they could. When I arrived, staff were waiting with an office chair and rolled me inside and all the way to my room. I was close to tears at how kind and generous they were. We ordered room service, and the food was fantastic. It made sense when we found out it was freshly made. The next day, they helped me get downstairs and into a taxi. I wish I'd got the gentleman's name, and can't thank the staff enough. I don't know how I'd have made it to my room without them. The room was exactly what we needed, and the hotel is very close to the airport. I couldn't explore on foot, but there are restaurants and a cute cafe nearby, as well as a pharmacy. I'd strongly recommend it to friends and family.
