We had to wait an extra hour and a half because he hadn't finished cleaning, and even then the place was filthy. There was food and coffee left on the dishes, spiders on the ceiling, and the floor hadn't even been swept. The bathroom was extremely dirty, and I don't think anyone had mopped the floor for a very long time.

You can easily walk to places like the Leaning Tower of Pisa from this clean, well-designed apartment, which is in a very convenient spot. The main issue if you're driving is that there's no parking.

Right in the center, practically on the Lungarno, and really, really lovely.

We had everything we needed for a weekend, and the apartment was just right for our five. Two of us shared the double bed, while the others had their own beds. It was clean, though the mold in the bathroom was a bit off-putting. The location was great: about half an hour on foot from the airport and just a short hop from the center. Communication with the owner was very good, and the keys were left in a little box by the door.
