We’d booked for a Sunday and arrived at 1:45 pm. No one answered the doorbell, so we called the number on our booking and explained we were outside and couldn’t get in. We were told very bluntly that Sunday check-in closes at 12:00 noon. We hadn’t known that, and when we said our flight had only arrived then, she just said, "no, check-in is closed," and hung up. She didn’t answer our next call. About ten minutes later we tried again; when she realized it was us, she hung up once more. I know this may sound hard to believe, but I wasn’t rude or aggressive on the phone. We were still charged for the night we couldn’t stay and had to find another place. Only then did I track down the noon cutoff. It took about ten minutes of filling in a 'pretend booking' to find it buried at the bottom of the fine print behind a link, after a bold statement saying check-in was between 12:00 and 20:00 pm. I found her incredibly rude. There was no apology for the unclear information or offer of help. Even saying there’d be a late check-in fee would have been acceptable, but instead she just hung up.

Very poor management. They said they’d give the police my license plate so we could park in their lot, but they never did. Now I have a fine of over 400 euros, which would be resolved if they sent in my plate. It’s been almost 2 years of calling. At first they said they’d take care of it and didn’t, and now they don’t respond to my calls or emails.

We booked online and stayed out past the check-in time. On the day we were due to arrive, the hotel said we couldn’t check in then, but charged us anyway. We lost the money without any explanation, and it seems I’m not the first. Terrible.

We got a really warm welcome. Staff picked us up at the airport and drove us to the accommodation. Lovely building, good facilities, and a great location.
