Living at Villa Giula for five months in Pisa turned out to be a choice I'm really happy with, after finding accommodation had been so difficult. I'll always remember the time there. I met new people, lived with italian students, discovered a different way of life, and learned italian. There was a friendly atmosphere and a cosy room. We had plenty of fun together when we had time, then studied when exams came around. The spacious, well-furnished kitchen made it easy to cook, and I could relax and sunbathe in the garden. The TV room had a PS4, so I got better at Fifa too. It was a great time, and I'm sure I'll come back if I get the chance.

The rooms were basic but clean. The host was brilliant and seemed very willing to help. It's a little out of the way, though there's a fairly regular bus that goes straight to the train station.

It was very calm when I stayed. The beds were comfortable and the shared bathrooms were good, though the WiFi on the second floor was bad. A very ordinary hostel.

Great people and a great place. For an international student, I don't think there's a better place to stay.
