Hotel Francesco

We were three friends sharing a room, and it worked perfectly for us. It’s a friendly, genuine hotel, within walking distance of everything, especially the Pisa tower and cathedral area. All the staff were super friendly. Special thanks to Laura, who was so helpful, understanding, and kind when we needed her. Thank you, Laura! 😘

Damian at reception was welcoming and happy to chat with guests. We were given a triple room with a double bed and bunk bed, although we were supposed to get a double room with a terrace or view. It was okay, since the room had a large window overlooking the street, where you could watch locals, students, and tourists rushing by. The Tower is very close, and it’s a good base for exploring nearby towns. You can see and enjoy the Tower in the morning and at night. There were no coffee or tea facilities in our room. We asked for them, but apparently they weren’t working or something, so they offered to make coffee or tea through reception instead, which was a bit of a hassle. Cleanliness could be improved.

Damian, the current manager, made me feel more welcome than I’ve ever felt at a hotel. He was a wonderful host for my whole week-long stay. The location is ideal, and each morning at breakfast the Tower greets you while you sit in the sunshine on the balcony. I’d easily book again just for the service and location. Thanks again for everything, Damian. It’s been an absolute pleasure.

The caring, sociable atmosphere the hotel manager created made our stay especially memorable. Service from everyone, from housekeeping to the front desk, was attentive and excellent. It’s in a safe central area, a few minutes’ walk from the Tower, which you can see from the breakfast terrace. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. Make it your base when you’re in Pisa and you won’t be disappointed :)
