My 84-year-old handicapped mother and I fell badly on the stone staircase while going down in the morning. There were no rails on the final turning steps, and we're both in pain. I should have called an ambulance and had them pay for it. Management wouldn't cooperate or admit there were problems, and when I asked for reimbursement for the accident, they called the police. I'm taking them to court. Instead of paying me back €90, they'll pay tens of thousands for health damage. The night before, we arrived at 10pm and walked into a reception and kitchen area at 40C. There were two air conditioners, but neither worked, and no one was in the office to ask for help. The room was just as hot. I set its cooling to maximum, but the AC worked so poorly that I couldn't fall asleep until 4am. It felt like an easy heart attack risk. My mother and I nearly killed ourselves twice in that terrible place.

The only bad & breakfast available that evening waited until 8 PM, just one hour late, and applied the overnight discount after seeing the hospital cards. The lady doesn't seem to understand that patients at Cisanello Hospital get a discount, and that every person deserves respect. A patient showed her the prescription and Booking.com reservation on WhatsApp to prove this wasn't a pleasure trip, but she still treated her badly and even wrote that it should be a lesson. Maybe the lady runs her own business as she likes, but other people work for a boss and can't take vacation. If they're leaving late from far away, traffic on the highway can make them late. She had already taken the money from Booking.com, so apparently it didn't matter to her if the patient was left stranded. The more she tries to justify herself by blaming the patient and saying she wants to be seen as a victim, the more she makes herself look bad. Shame!

The triple room's air conditioning wasn't working properly, and its shower was quite small, too small for someone a bit bigger, especially compared with the shower in the double room. We reported this to the receptionist. She came to check the AC a few minutes later and said she'd tell the owner, but then nothing happened. In the end, they brought us a basic fan that was half broken. I booked both a triple and a double room, and the stay wasn't a positive experience. Both rooms had the dirty-filter light on, so the air conditioning needs more maintenance. Sometimes it really doesn't take much.

Another place, one of the many that were full, offered me a room and waited for me after I explained what had happened. I was left driving around Pisa in the cold. Shame on you, and have the decency not to respond. I have nothing but fear and shame for you. I'd booked the room for the night of February 10, 2025, because I had a medical appointment at Cisanello Hospital the next morning. I'd read the rules and understood check-in was from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, but I couldn't understand the inflexibility and cruelty of leaving a paid guest stranded and struggling to arrive on time. I had worked that morning and could only get two hours off, so I was never going to make it from Naples on time. I asked them to wait and sent my prescription on WhatsApp as proof. I humiliated myself. The inhumane woman said she had a family and couldn't wait, and that I was asking too much. I didn't listen to the other voicemails, or I would have had a stroke. Traffic and a highway detour made things worse. The lady has no idea what it's like to work and be unable to leave your job, then travel far from home and face human trafficking. She'd taken the money, so what did she care? I don't want to be a victim. She should have the decency and heart to admit she was very wrong. I have no lessons to learn, unlike her, who thinks she's right and acts like a know-it-all. I just told her the truth, even privately. I hope they don't let her take money upfront!
