The place was clean and traditional, and really felt Italian. The directions were clear, so I found it quickly. It’s well located near the Arno river and Pisa Centrale train station, but the busy street makes it hard to sleep, with people talking loudly all night. The AC was broken and made a terrible noise. I might have rated it four stars if it had worked properly. Five stars for the cleanliness and traditional feel, though.

I booked five months ahead, but they never showed up and I couldn’t get in touch. After I complained through Booking.com, they just said sorry and told me there was no room for me because it wasn’t free. The phone number couldn’t be reached. It sounds like a scam, don’t book!

The rooms were clean and nice-looking, and the location was great. They’re small, though, and check-in was difficult and later than stated. The owners’ English is really limited, which made things harder.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel at all. I paid by card, got a refund, and was then asked to make a bank transfer. My card details were also shared with another hotel, which charged me twice at Relais Hotel's request, supposedly because of system problems and a canceled reservation. In the end I paid three times and the booking was canceled. Be careful with your credit cards. Scam!!!
