Residence Isola Verde

Getting to and from the apartment was easy, with buses running until midnight. The bed was comfortable and there were enough cooking utensils, but the AC only cooled the bedroom, and we couldn’t work out how to adjust it without freezing ourselves. The place felt poorly managed. As soon as we came in, we noticed a smell from the shower, which I had to clean. The kitchen was infested with ants, and I had to clean that too. It was really frustrating. Honestly, I wouldn’t choose this place as my first option.

The hotel owner was very friendly and let us switch to a room with a balcony without any trouble. There’s a supermarket and bakery just a few steps away.

The receptionist was nice, and the flat itself was basic but well equipped. Still, the sound insulation was terrible. We heard every little noise from the neighbouring flats, even people having ordinary conversations in bedrooms and bathrooms, as well as the street. We barely slept that night, and the place wasn’t worth what we paid.

The bathroom is small, with no room for two people at once, and the decor looks really old-fashioned, though that wasn’t a big deal. The noise was the problem. We could hear everything from upstairs and next door, including high heels and voices. Even the heavy wooden chairs scraped noisily across the tiled floor. If you’re hoping to sleep, look somewhere else.
