Hotel Touring Pisa

I barely slept because the walls were so thin I could hear every word from other guests. The room was cramped, the shower didn't even fit properly in the wet room, and the air conditioning wasn't working, so it was hot. They gave me the wrong room at first, then made me leave in the middle of a shower. The Wi-Fi was patchy at best and breakfast was appalling. Not good.

I only gave it one star because zero wasn't an option. After paying and seeing the room, I didn't want to stay because of its condition, but the woman at the counter insisted she couldn't refund me, even though I hadn't used it. So I had to stay and put up with ants crawling around at breakfast, mold in the shower and elsewhere, exposed electrical components where the walls were open, and dirt throughout the hotel. Room service didn't replace the toilet paper, either. The neighborhood also felt unwelcoming and unsafe at night. Put together, it explains why staff won't refund reservations. I strongly advise people not to stay here.

The location has potential, close to the train station and airport, but the room and service were very poor for a property ranked four stars. I booked a double room for myself and two toddlers, but got a single room with two single beds pushed together. They kept shifting apart, so I had to push them back to keep my children from falling. The room was tiny and uncomfortable, and very hot. Staff told me the AC wasn't working when I asked for its remote. With the window open, my children were bitten all over by mosquitoes. There was no toilet roll, and I had to get one in the morning when my child needed the toilet. I couldn't sleep because the minibar fridge made a terrible noise. I was also disappointed by the owner's ignorance. She heard me speaking Italian and asked where I was from. When I said I was Italian, she said she'd asked because all she could see was a Black woman. I didn't make an issue of it because my children were there and I didn't want to give her ignorance any attention. I paid €100 per night plus another €15 in tax. The property isn't worth the price or its star rating, and the online pictures are misleading. The hotel and room don't look like them.

The only thing that worked without trouble was the Wi-Fi. I enjoy budget accommodation, but this place didn't meet a three-star standard. It's a two-star hotel, and despite being by the train station, the area didn't seem very safe to me. I cut my visit short because of the place. The shower connection and door were broken, and water would flood the bathroom unless I held the door while showering. The dining area was tiny, the furniture and decor badly needed an overhaul, and the bed was extremely hard. Floors were crumbling from earlier water damage, and there were mosquitoes everywhere. If you do go, make sure to pick the refund option if it's available, so you can get your money back if you're unhappy.
