Basilicata Host to Host - Passarella House

We had a great time here. The place is quiet, well organized, and in a great location, with the sea only a few minutes away and a large water park close by. There’s fun for everyone, and it’s a great place to stay in the suburbs. The view is lovely, the veranda is beautiful, and the pool is just a few meters away. The entertainment staff keeps children of all ages engaged. We’ll definitely come back.

The clear sea and clean beach were lovely, and the lido had everything set up. We also had all the amenities we needed without using the car, with the amphitheater and kids' club close by. The Itaca apartment itself is comfortable and beautiful, and Massimo Spani was kind and clear, always ready to help.

The pools were part of what we expected to use, but only the one in the Agorá suburb was open, and only until 09/14. Cosimo, who managed it, was very kind and helpful. As for the apartment in Borgo San Basilio, we’re a family of four with a small dog and stayed six days. The house and setting looked lovely when we arrived, but there was no washing machine, even though a Booking photo under the Itaca apartment name showed one. The owner said there had never been one, although there were lots of pipes. There wasn’t even a basin for laundry, which was a problem for a family. We also found no television. On the third day, while we were cooking pasta, the gas cylinder ran out. We called the owner and he said someone would come right away to replace it, but hours went by and nobody came, so we had to throw out the pasta. When I called again at 5:30 pm, tired of waiting, he said the boy had come by at 3 but left because he hadn’t seen anyone on the landing. We’d hoped for a relaxing holiday after three stressful months running a business, but it didn’t turn out that way. I could keep going, but this review would become a comic book. We won’t set foot there again. Don’t be taken in by the photos.

The house is spotless, and the host was extremely kind. It has a spacious, comfortable feel, with a noble but still homely atmosphere, as it occupies one wing of the Castle. From the top of the village, it looks straight over the Dirupo district and gives you direct access to one of Pisticci’s prettiest areas. Sunset and the evening lights are especially beautiful. Driving through the old town’s narrow streets to get there takes some effort, but the calm, welcoming feeling inside makes up for it.
