Al Canto del Cavour

The host deserves 10 stars for being so kind. My room was clean, very spacious, and had everything I needed. I'd definitely recommend it.

The room cost less than 70 euros, which is good compared with Florence, though in Pistoia you can find places for as little as 50 euros. That makes the positive reviews hard for me to understand. There are worse places, sure, but there are better ones for only 8 euros more. The room is on Pistoia's main street, so it gets noisy with the window open. Mosquitoes are another reason to keep it shut. The bed had a box spring and I didn't sleep well, although the pillows were soft. The sheets were left on the bed for us to put on ourselves. Breakfast at the affiliated bar was limited to one savory item, one sweet, and one hot drink per person. The savory item was already made, so I didn't take it. I asked for another sweet pastry instead, and both pastries were very good, but that was all we could have. At the hotel, you can take what you like from the buffet without someone counting it out, so I would have liked to have more pastries.

I stayed one night with my dog, and the room was nicer and cleaner than I'd expected. It's right in the center, just a few minutes on foot from the station. For breakfast, I recommend the café that has a special arrangement with the hotel. The people there are friendly and everything was delicious. I had a lovely stay and would absolutely recommend it.

The breakfast is included, and there's a nearby bar where the owners were very kind and helpful. The B&B is central, convenient, comfortable, and clean. The refrigerator is tiny, and I couldn't find a safe for my personal belongings.
