A good place to stay.

After the concert in Florence, I needed somewhere to stay before heading home the next day, and this B&B in Pistoia turned out to be ideal. Maps had me in the countryside within minutes of leaving Pistoia, and I parked outside the property right away. Check-in was quick, then I carried my few things to the room through the courtyard of what I believe was an old farmhouse. The room is independent, almost like a separate apartment, and has a decent amount of space and its own bathroom. I got to the Visarno Arena in 30 minutes. On the way back, I showered and had a great night’s sleep in the quiet countryside. The only tiny flaw I can think of is that the room door isn’t “closed” in the morning, so quite a bit of light comes in even with the curtain. That woke me up, and I’m a vampire. The room is Luna. This will definitely be my “base” for future concerts. Highly recommended.

For a quick weekend in Pistoia, I spent one night at this property on the quiet outskirts of town. Getting there means taking a somewhat narrow road, and I just hoped no cars would come the other way. The owner couple greeted us at check-in. They promptly paid our bill, as specifically requested in cash. I was disappointed that breakfast wasn’t included despite this being a B&B, so I went to a café in central Pistoia instead. The room was basic, a little retro in its furnishings, but clean. For what I paid, it was more than adequate. I also liked the beautiful black cat that came over to greet us shortly before checkout, and gave him lots of cuddles.
