The owners were incredibly friendly, though they didn’t speak English. We managed to get by, and the owner who did speak English came a few times a week to tidy up and do odd jobs. He was very friendly and kept his promises. We had a fantastic holiday and would happily do it again. The house is beautiful, clean, and well maintained, with authentic Italian furnishings, though a bit dated. There was quite a lot of dust on the cabinets and lamps. The pool was clean and lovely, with plenty of sunbeds for relaxing. The road up is very narrow and tight, but luckily almost nobody drives there, so there’s hardly any oncoming traffic.

There’s no air conditioning or mosquito nets, but the apartment is otherwise clean and nicely renovated. The pool is large and clean, and there are lots of pleasant seating areas outside. There are barbecue facilities as well. That last stretch of the path up there is quite an adventure, though.

The view is lovely, and the place itself is pretty nice, but in summer the missing mosquito nets, fans, and air conditioning are annoying. The furniture and chairs are very basic, and ants come out of the kitchen. Cleanliness is okay, though it could be better.

Bozzolino is a wonderful, real Tuscan country house, with a view stretching all the way to Florence!
