The imposing chestnut tree is wonderful, and we still liked the great price, the number of rooms, each with its own bathroom, and the location between Tuscany and Lazio. We'd been here four years ago and were very happy, so this time we returned as a group of six. A few things felt neglected compared with our last visit: some rooms needed paint, the ground floor had a strong musty smell, the upstairs Wi-Fi cut in and out, and there was a lot of foliage outside the door when we arrived. We asked the owner to turn up the heating a little, and they did. More of a mixed result than a clear yes or no, but since we were out practically every day, we made do.

The owner was so kind and always available when we needed anything. We stayed over Easter with the whole family, and the kids had fun playing both inside and outside the cottage. We'll definitely be back!

I wasn't keen on it. The bathrooms had no windows, the kitchen was shared, and the pool was unkempt.
