The panigacci with pesto are my favorite, and the food in general is amazing. Staff are fantastic, the view is breathtaking, and the bill is pretty reasonable. There’s also a small playground for kids and a nice grassy area. If you’re nearby, stop in and try the panigacci.

I especially loved the first serving, with mushroom sauce and pesto. The atmosphere was lovely, and the panigacci came perfectly cooked and warm from the fire. Amazing food.

It’s a bit out of the way, but the views, lovely staff, and food make the trip worthwhile. They let you choose what you like and how much you want. We began with boiled panigacci, served with oil and parmigiano, local pesto, and mushroom sauce. For the main course we had the crunchy kind with sliced meats, stracchino, blue cheese, and grilled vegetables, then finished with panigacci and Nutella. What a meal! Panigacci is a round, unleavened bread baked in a special terracotta dish heated red hot in a wood-burning oven. You can have it boiled or crunchy, and pair it with cold cuts, cheeses, sauces, or even Nutella.

This was our second visit, and we enjoyed ourselves just as much as the first time. We stayed in the B&B, where the rooms were very clean, had everything we needed, and came with fabulous views. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent again, with great food and friendly service. The quiet mountain setting made for a really good night's sleep, and we had a fantastic breakfast the next morning in the fresh mountain air. Da Gambin is well worth the drive up the mountain Road.
