It’s not luxury lodging, but it worked perfectly for traveling with kids. We had the comfort of a large apartment, a kitchen, and a swimming pool. The kitchen was fully equipped and the bedrooms were comfortable. Great location in the countryside, yet close to the Siena-Florence freeway. Sabrina and Mirco were excellent hosts.

You really need a car here, since the nearest supermarket is a five-minute drive away and getting around without one would be difficult. With a car, though, the location worked perfectly for us: we visited Venice, Florence, Pisa, Siena, and San Gimignano. The house is surrounded by nature and had everything our large family needed for a relaxing stay, including a big area for barbecues and outdoor time, plus a wonderful pool with Tuscan views. The owners have an olive grove and a couple of hectares of Sangiovese and Malvasia vines, and the owner makes fine wine.

Three dreamlike days, and I slept better than I have in months. Mirco and his whole family made us feel at home. The apartment was spacious, welcoming, spotless, and fully equipped, in a quiet, enchanting setting. We’ll be back, and we’ll tell all our friends. Thank you!

Mirco and his family were discreet but always ready to help. The house was cool, welcoming, and had everything we needed. It’s tucked away in nature, peaceful and away from the crowds, yet well placed for exploring the area and visiting nearby towns.

The hosts are wonderfully kind and really know how to make guests feel welcome. Up on a hill among olive trees, the Risoino farm has spacious, comfortable accommodation that’s well equipped, carefully maintained, and very clean. The pool is gorgeous and always crystal clear. Well worth the trip.
