Albergo Da Peppino

Our room was clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There was convenient parking for guests, too. Google sent us along a long, winding route, but the staff pointed out there was a regular road as well, and we managed that route without any trouble.

We would have left if we'd had another option. The room had mold in the corners and was dirty, the bathroom fan didn't work, and the place smelled moldy. There was just a wall to look at. The health department should shut it down. Whatever the price, even if it were free, I don't want to sleep in conditions like this.

The hotel is right in the town center, has parking, and is reasonably priced. Breakfast is very generous, and the rooms are clean and fairly comfortable for this kind of place. The shower has plenty of water and gets properly hot. It may look modest at first, but there's more to it once you stay. Peppino is right that you should take the hotel as it is, criticism feels unnecessary. Renovating would cost a lot and would mean the price would have to double anyway. A hostel is definitely less comfortable.

We stopped here to break up a long drive, and the price was good for what we got. The village is awkward to reach, with very narrow, steep streets. The hotel is run by a kind gentleman, but the place feels old and dated. The incense smell didn't make the atmosphere any better.
