We popped up to the rooftop terrace and the view was lovely. The pinsa and drinks were surprisingly good for a place that looked like a tourist trap. It was late October and the weather was nice, so we expected it to be busy, but we were the only ones there.

The view from the rooftop bar and restaurant is incredible, probably one of the best in Polignano. But the music was so loud that it was hard to enjoy the sunset, particularly when the second DJ was playing. I understand loud electronic music is part of the concept, but it felt counterproductive. An older woman was on her balcony literally two metres away, and we felt sorry for her. If you're after a relaxed, romantic spot, this probably isn't it. We also ordered ravioli for 15 euros and got just three small pieces on the plate. At first we thought it had to be a bad joke, but that was the serving. Really disappointing. I'd stick to drinks for the sunset and have dinner somewhere else. The first DJ, an older guy with a cool look, and the amazing view saved the evening for us.

The view is stunning, and we really liked the gazpacho and ravioli. The beef tartare wasn't to our taste, though. We went for dinner on our last day in Polignano and wouldn't return for a meal, but it could be a nice place for drinks.

The view was great, and the drinks were nice, but the food was poor. We waited more than an hour, then it arrived cold and didn't taste very good. The two servers looking after us were lovely, and one arranged a 15% discount after we mentioned the food. The people at the door were rude; one took payment while on the phone and didn't engage with us.

Aquamarea in Polignano a Mare was a wonderful place to stay. Right from arrival, Christiana at reception made us feel welcome. She was professional and kind, helped with reservations, gave us good suggestions, and kept making sure everything was taken care of. The room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, and the location couldn't be better. Breakfast was lovely too, thanks to Patricia's warm welcome and what might be the best coffee in Polignano. The rooftop bar has breathtaking views of Lama Monachile, and the team makes outstanding cocktails. Everyone treated us so well that we felt at home.
