Dei Serafini

We enjoyed the spacious, nicely decorated two-bedroom apartment in the middle of the old town, especially the rooftop terrace. The location suited us once we’d arrived, but the property has units spread around the old town, so check exactly where yours is. Even the golf cart can’t take bags right to the door, which was 300m from Plaza. A few details could have been better for the price: there was nothing in the kitchen, not even coffee, salt, pepper, or sugar. The second double room had two twin beds pushed together with uncomfortable mattresses, and the roof loungers weren’t comfortable either. We only got one set of keys, so when one person went out, the other was effectively locked inside because the outside gate closes automatically and needs a key. I’d recommend it if you don’t have much luggage and don’t mind walking to the Piazza for morning coffee.

The beds were comfortable, and the air conditioning was invaluable. We also really liked the rooftop terrace, and the apartment was in a great location. Communication was very good throughout. We had a great stay.

The large jacuzzi and lovely patio on the third floor were highlights of our three-floor suite at Dei Serafini. The photos were accurate, and the bathroom had the individual amenities you’d expect in a high-end hotel, including vanity and dental kits. The location in Polignano a Mare is absolutely the best. She upgraded us to the "suite" without us asking, explained where to park and how to reach reception, left a complimentary bottle of rosé in the fridge, booked two dinners, and arranged a visit to an amazing beach club. She was so sweet and helpful, which meant a lot while we were in a foreign country. She even gave us a beach bag with towels to use. Dei Serafini owns several places to stay in the area. It was fabulous, and I’d absolutely stay here again.

The apartment was impressively spacious and tastefully decorated, and the bed was the most comfortable I’ve had, which mattered a lot to me. Everyone on staff worked together like a happy family, and they were sincerely welcoming. Tonya, the owner, went far beyond what I’d expect in every part of hospitality, along with Marina,Georgia,AnnaMaria and the rest of her family of workers. I don’t usually write reviews, but this place isn’t ordinary and deserves to be shouted about. Part of me wants to keep it to myself, but I feel I should tell the whole world: do something good for yourself and stay there. It was an experience of a lifetime. David Benlolo New York City
