Dimora Valmar

We loved being able to explore everything on foot from the historic centre. Isabella was fantastic and helped us with tips, reservations and parking. The apartment was cozy, nicely decorated and had everything we needed.

The beds were comfortable and the location was good, but the rest was disappointing. Communication was poor: the entry code came 15 minutes after we arrived, so we were left waiting on the street with our luggage after a long travel day. The photos gave the wrong impression. There's no pool in the room, and the hot tub wasn't available to use. The host said it would cost €50 an hour, but it didn't even have water in it. The AC didn't work, and the host never replied when we asked for help. The rooms were average. With so many other good options in Polignano, I wouldn't recommend staying here.

Isabella was the standout, so sweet, helpful and available almost any time of day. She helped us with challenges and recommendations. The room at Dimora Valmar was very clean and close to everything. We had a great stay and really recommend Dimora Valmar :)

We spent as little time as possible at the property. It didn't feel like a five-star place, more like an aspiring one-star, and both booking .com and the property need to revise their status. This is a B&B, not suites. Don't waste your time here. The “Suites” label suggests a decorated room with at least a touch of luxury, but this felt like a retro YMCA with a few modern comforts. The booking.com pictures were deceptive. Our original room was upstairs and the mattress was worn out, with a severe dip. Isabelle saw me lying on it, and when we complained, she said, “your husband looked comfy.” A couple of hours later we raised it again and had to switch rooms with my sister in law, who had travelled from Zimbabwe to enjoy the trip to Italy. That partly sorted it out. But the shower didn't work either. Isabelle suggested my sister in law use the ridiculous bathtub, and that didn't work too. Her response was, “I can't do anything about it.” I could go on with all the blah blah blah. She tried to deflect as much as she could, which isn't acceptable in hospitality. It's in the word. If the kitchen's too hot, get out of it.
