Fiori DaMare

The rooms are very large, but just about everything needs repairs. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable, the walls had cracks, the bathroom fixtures were old, and the towel rack was coming loose. There was a rusty toilet brush and shower, and one room didn't have a bidet. The balcony was lovely but its sofas were broken. There was plenty of space, yet a refrigerator had been put right in front of the door. And the host's constant messages were a lot to deal with on vacation. The location is a little out of the way, though the price is affordable.

The owners were very helpful, friendly, and easy-going, and the air conditioning worked great. It was quiet until neighbors arrived with loud music, singing, and dancing 😅, but thankfully that was only during the last two days. The center and historic center of Polignano a Mare are just a few minutes' drive away. I stayed nine nights in a room with a private bathroom. A few things could be better: the sink drain smelled terrible day and night, and the refrigerator made such awful noise that I woke up the first night thinking it came from another room. The shower was a bit small, and there was no bidet, though that was okay. The bathroom door ALWAYS stuck after closing, and I had to lift it a little to open it. Breakfast wasn't available because of Covid, but for an extra 5 euros per person, it could be brought to the room. I wouldn't give it more than 2 stars, though overall it's okay, perhaps for a short stay.

Saverio was a great person to deal with. The apartment was good too, just a few steps from the center.

The room was clean and within easy reach of both the center and the sea. I’d happily recommend it.
