Il Terrazzino Vista Mare

The suites are near the center, and ours was lovely: new, comfortable, and clean. Giovanni was kind and helpful, made us feel at home, and gave us great advice. It was an enchanting stay, and we’ll definitely come back.

The owner was incredibly kind, which made it hard to complain, but the bathrooms were the worst part of our stay. One is built into the stairwell, with a toilet and a sink so tiny you can barely fit your hands in. Its shower is just attached to the wall, so you have to turn off the toilet, move the toilet paper, and turn on the shower. Everything gets wet, and water drips down the stairs. The other bathroom is a little better, but calling either of them bathrooms takes courage. The second bedroom is really just the entrance hall with a sofa bed. Unfortunately, it’s hard to find a decent B&B in Polignano...

The breakfast on the terrace overlooking Lama Monarchie was wonderful. Mr. Giovanni greeted us and was very kind and helpful. The property is beautiful and right in the heart of Polignano, so we were already in Piazza dell'Orologio as soon as we stepped outside.

I wouldn't recommend it. The apartment is small, with a bathroom measuring just 1 square meter by 1 square meter. The decor is average, even if the photos look nice, and the price is too high for what you get. Breakfast is only one croisson and coffee at the bar; everything else costs extra, and there isn't even water. My Booking.com checkout time was 11 a.m., but the guy told me 10 a.m. You can see the sea only from the terrace, and you have to lean out to do so. From the sun lounger, all you see are buildings because the apartment is on the street, not by the sea. The second bathroom, with the toilet up the stairs, is architecturally interesting! This definitely doesn't deserve 5 stars.
