We spent five days with Winn and David, and leaving was surprisingly hard. They waved until our car was out of sight, and I felt a lump in my throat, like I was leaving my favourite aunt and uncle. They’re kind, friendly hosts who make time for you, and they’re also great cooks and fun to talk with. Their suggestions for authentic Italian experiences were terrific. We were seven weeks into a nine-week Europe trip, and this stay was one of the best parts. Highly recommend!

Win and David were so attentive, and their knowledge of the area was a real help. They communicated wonderfully before and during our visit, with travel tips and directions we really appreciated. We also enjoyed Win’s local connections, including a cheese maker, a balsamic vinegar tasting, and an interest in genealogy. The room was comfortable and clean, and breakfast was lovely. A beautiful spot in Emilia-Romagna.

The house is filled with paintings, and the garden is quiet and peaceful. Winnie and David were so friendly, with plenty of great ideas for things to see and do. The food was extremely delicious, and Teddy the dog was lovely company. We only managed one night and wished we could've stayed longer. Thanks so much, we'll be back! 🌲🌻

Winnifred and David showed me sights, history, and food that were delightful, insightful, and delicious. They’re passionate about Italy and what it has to offer, especially places away from the usual routes. I felt guided by two incredible people on tours of local and less local spots.
