There are plenty of pitches to choose from, and the campsite never seemed full. It's a pleasant spot for one night, though I wouldn't want to stay much longer. The sewage works sits behind the nearby hypermarket, and the smell drifts downwind toward the site. There's not much to do around the small industrial town without a vehicle, and there aren't even footpaths. Our vehicle broke down, so that was a problem. The 24-hour hypermarket is within walking distance, which is useful. The setting has a couple of surprises: there were no mosquitoes, which was amazing, but there were lots of ants, so keep food sealed or expect to defend it. Nights can get very cold, even down to 2 degrees at the start of August, so summer sleeping bags may not be enough. It's also a very dry climate, and you'll want plenty of moisturizer to avoid cracking skin. The facilities are a letdown. In the men's toilets there are squat toilets, and campers are expected to clean them themselves, so they become a disgusting mess. The women's toilets are seated, which makes you wonder why men don't get the same. Showers take tokens, 1 euro for 15L, about three minutes at most. There is a bar with somewhat expensive prices, though the fridge has cheaper beer to take back to your tent, and they sell inexpensive pizzas in the evening. The washing machine costs 5 euros per quick wash, which isn't very effective. Even the taps run hot, so there's no cold drinking water. The shallow-ish pool isn't heated and is freezing. I could only manage 10 minutes in it, even on the hottest days at the beginning of August. No Wi-Fi at the campsite, and no internet anywhere in the area, was a real disappointment. If you're staying awhile, get a 3G SIM. English is limited on site, so if you don't speak French or Italian, expect a tough time.

It's a lovely campsite, and helicopters do come and go overhead now and then. The coin showers are the downside. One coin buys 15 litres, maybe 15 at most, and some machines don't work very well anymore. You get very little time, up to three minutes of hot water, with the first minute often cold. A shower tip: bring your camel-bag and fill it with warm water from the sink right outside the shower door. That makes for a much nicer shower :)

The pizza sauce wasn't good, and there were flies all over the restaurant at the back.

The location is great, though the place itself is very modest.

The location is strategic, close to the ski slopes, lots of amenities, and Aosta, and the prices are average. But the bathrooms are unspeakably dirty, the dirtiest I've ever seen, and the food is awful. The pizza deserved a complaint. Breakfast is a whole other matter.
