Albergo Margherita

The bill came to €165.50, but the receipt didn't break down the dish prices. We challenged it with the owner, who said the mixed fried fish was €25 per portion. Those dishes weren't even listed on the price board outside. When we pointed that out, he got angry and said, "I don't need these games... I have the millions!" He shouted that he couldn't stand there explaining things and told us to send him the checks. Completely unacceptable. Watch the bill, I wouldn't recommend this place at all. Better to grab a sandwich at a deli. 🙂 We'd ordered trofie with courgettes and clams for €15, two scarpariello for €12 each, fried calamari for €15, a salad and a fresella for €5 each, two mixed fried dishes, two bottles of wine and water. The woman taking the order seemed annoyed from the start. The trofie came covered in flour and was inedible, so we sent it back, but nobody asked what was wrong. Unfortunately, not everyone knows how to run a business.

The lunch was great, with plenty to choose from, and the fried food was delicious, soft and tasty. It's also a lovely spot to unwind, with umbrellas on the beach. I'll come back as soon as I can! 👍⚓☮️

The ingredients were poor quality, and the meal was awful. Our dinner included cod balls, anchovy tart, poached octopus, and fried calamari and shrimp. The frying oil tasted rancid, the tart was mostly bread, and there was hardly any anchovy. The cod balls had no cod to speak of either. Never again.

The bathroom had no disposable hand towels, and its drain was broken. The owner was rude and arrogant throughout, treating customers badly. Our lunch was disgusting: old mozzarella in carrozza, cod balls made only of bread, and soggy, tasteless fried calamari for €15, which may have been reheated. The bill was very high for such poor food, a zero for value. Tourists pay and shouldn't be served food worse than a canteen while being treated like that. I don't recommend it.
