Casa Vicolo Urbano

The setting has a lot of charm, with lanes and streets that are only accessible on foot. It's a pleasant town to explore, especially if you want to stroll around, though getting down to the beach and back up is inconvenient. The hosts were friendly, and the house was nice overall, with several roomy and reasonably comfortable rooms. Parking takes some effort. You can find a spot, but it may be quite far away, while the very narrow streets are hard to drive through. I'd avoid bringing a large vehicle.

The house itself was fine, with plenty of little rooms and enough space for a couple. It was the approach that earned my two stars. The drive takes about 20 minutes up the mountain on a really rough road, with steep stretches, sharp turns and bumpy patches. At the top, if Google Maps has sent you the wrong way, and apparently there are three routes, you have to head back down a bit and climb up again. I get carsick, so this was a terrible start and spoiled the first day of my trip. I really wouldn't recommend it for anyone who gets seasick or carsick.

The owners are so kind and trustworthy, and the whole place has a lovely old-fashioned feel. It reminded me of my grandparents' home, with a charming, almost magical atmosphere where life moves slowly and the good things matter. A lovely choice if you want to unwind and reconnect with simpler pleasures.

The owners were warm and helpful, and the location was great. It's a beautiful house too. Highly recommend it.
