Beatrice Home B&B

Pascuale made everything run smoothly during our one-night stay at Beatrice Home. He was caring, accommodating, and helpful, and the free breakfast was a big plus. The room was clean and comfortable, and the kids had a nice time in the pool. We just wished we’d had a car. Two miles in Pompei can feel like a lot without one, and taxis are very expensive. If you have transportation, there’s no better place to stay!

We only stayed one night at Beatrice Home B&B and wished we could have stayed longer. The room was comfortable and nicely decorated, and after a long hot day at the Pompeii archaeological site, we enjoyed a dip in the pool. Breakfast had the widest selection we’ve come across on our Europe travels so far, including freshly cooked omelettes. The family were very helpful, and brought us free coffee and water in the afternoon. The location is just past the commercial center shopping mall. In a small village area about a ten-minute walk away, there’s a bakery, a butcher and deli that seemed to stay open past 20:30, and a pizza restaurant called Notte e Di. The restaurant was closed for remodeling, but we found everything for a picnic dinner at the butcher and deli, including bread and local wine. Beatrice Home B&B can also provide meals, and there’s a nice menu book in the room. We found out there are two kinds of taxis in town: white ones, which don’t come to you, and more serviceable black ones, which will. Fares are meant to be fixed, but we got a discount with a black taxi and paid 20Eu for the ride from the archaeological scavi site. We also learned we could call the B&B ahead of time to arrange a pickup with the family for half the price. I gave the location four because it’s a long walk to Pompeii Scavi, but you can arrange a ride with them. Son Claudio handled check-in efficiently and offered transport if needed. When we left, Pasquale, the head of the family, helped us plan our day and gave us a complimentary ride into town to drop our luggage at the station, then took us to the archaeological site for a second day of exploring, which was well worth it. He gave us a short drive around town so we could admire the cathedral and shared some special information about it. We really enjoyed our stay and would choose it again if we return to Pompei. The family is starting an expansion project this autumn, with a larger pool and more rooms. We wish them all the best and recommend their lovely hotel to couples and families.

We really appreciated the hospitality. Claudio made check-in easy, and even helped pick up dinner from a local restaurant so the kids could spend more time in the pool. At breakfast, Alessandro was happy to go around the corner and get non-dairy milk when I asked for it in my cappuccino. That was an unexpected, thoughtful gesture. Breakfast was simple but enough: croissants, toast, sweet muffins and breads, yogurt, juice, and coffee made how you like it. Highly recommend.

The staff were so kind and attentive, and gave us all the information we needed about places to eat, things to see, and getting around the area. We stayed three nights in this beautiful, well-kept place with a lovely garden. The room was modern, spacious, and clean, with scented sheets and a spotless bathroom. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. Thanks for a wonderful stay, we’ll definitely be back!
