The location worked really well, just 10min from Pompei archegical muzeum and right by Pompei train station. The apartment wasn’t small or huge, just right for feeling at home without spending too much time indoors. Marco was easy to reach, and we really appreciated the sweets, milk and jogurt. Thank you, we’d recommend it.

Marco went well beyond what we expected, even driving us to the Pompeii night show and picking us up afterward. The service was wonderful, and breakfast was great. We could make coffee or tea whenever we wanted. Our room was quiet and exceptionally clean. We really enjoyed our stay.

Getting in was easy with the self-access. The place is tastefully decorated, and my room was lovely and clean, with a nice bathroom and balcony. Breakfast was self-service. It’s handy for both the town and the ruins, and the host was very helpful.

The breakfast and included coffee were nice, and the BNB itself was pleasant. But 12 hours before checkout, the host charged us an extra €39 for a cleaning fee and city tax that hadn’t been included in the booking price. It felt pretty under the table. When we questioned the last-minute charge, she threatened to report us to the Pompeii police. I’d stay here, but would ask about all the costs up front. The cleaning fee wasn’t listed anywhere, and looking at other reviews, we weren’t the first guests to be surprised. Operators can be transparent about extra charges, for example by telling guests at check-in.
