Castello Del Trebbio

Our guests stayed in individual villas on the property, and we gathered for the wine tour, welcome and farewell dinners, and the wedding itself. The grounds are breathtaking, and working with Alberto, the wedding coordinator, made planning surprisingly easy, even compared with getting married in the United States. We were married at the Castello del Trebbio this past Spring, and the day was picture perfect. For a wedding among the Tuscan hills, with wonderful food, hospitality, and attention to detail, this is the place. I’ll recommend the castle, winery, food, and hospitality to everyone.

We planned a three-day wedding at Castello del Trebbio with only seven months to prepare, and hadn’t seen the venue before arriving. The hills, old architecture, olive groves, and vineyards made an incredible setting. Alberto answered our questions promptly and professionally, and was reassuring throughout. He was attentive and warm with us and our guests, and quickly adapted when plans changed or guests needed help. Our first evening started with a welcome dinner in the owner’s castle. We greeted everyone with gelato from Il Fiorino gelato and sparkling wine, then shared a delicious homemade meal that made the whole gathering feel like family. On the wedding day, the aperitivo was fantastic. We chose Aperol spritz, which we highly recommend. Dinner was served outdoors beneath the lights and stars, with regional dishes. The day ran very smoothly. The venue has a lovely mix of luxury and intimacy. Our guests’ rooms combined modern comfort with the feel of an Italian country house, and we enjoyed having the pools to unwind at the day after the wedding. A pizza party was a perfect way to end the week. The following weekend felt timeless, peaceful, and romantic, and this place made every moment special. We booked Castello del Trebbio for our Florence destination wedding based on the reviews and one phone call with Alberto, without seeing it in person. I’d been skeptical of all the glowing comments I found through Google and Wedding Wire, but they turned out to be right. Booking was the best decision we made. Alberto and the vendors he recommended made planning a joy. My emails soon became daily exchanges, and he was consistently quick to reply, thoughtful, knowledgeable, and kind. I’ll miss those conversations. When my fiancé and I finally visited in March, just 90 days before the wedding, the landscape took our breath away. The buildings were beautifully kept and modernized without losing their original charm. We also saw three kitchens in the middle of renovations. Meeting Alberto felt like catching up with an old friend. He was funny, warm, and sharp, gave us a thorough tour, and anticipated our questions. Dinner at the on-site restaurant, Sosta del Gusto, was another highlight. The food and staff were wonderful, especially Juliana. We tried 10 courses and loved every bite. We left in happy tears, looking forward to the wedding. June brought our wedding, on what was the hottest day on record in Tuscany. Our guests loved the property, amenities, food, tours, and team. Some even asked Alberto for fashion advice and said they wanted to be his friends forever! We began with a castle tour and dinner cooked in the family kitchen. When our photographer canceled 24 hours before the ceremony, the team stayed calm and handled it gracefully. They moved dinner to give us more shade and kept suggesting ways to help the evening go smoothly in the heat. The next day, guests had a pasta-making class with Chef Gerry and raved about it. We wrapped up with pizza and lasagna, plus a gelato truck. This place really is as magical and welcoming as people say. I have so much admiration for Alberto and the team. The wine and oil tour at Castello del Trebbio with my mom felt almost unreal. We were traveling through Italy on a once-in-a-lifetime trip, and this was easily one of our favorite stops. Our guide was lovely and knew so much, the estate’s history was fascinating, and the wine and olive oil tasting was top tier. I’m a bride, and hearing about the place made me wish I’d found it earlier. I would’ve loved to get married here. Thanks to everyone at Castello del Trebbio for such a magical visit.
