Armonia Hotel

The central location was good, and the decor was nice, but it didn't make up for the price. Breakfast was very mediocre, especially for the extra 10 euro. There was no information in the room about the lights or air conditioning, and nobody showed us to the room. In my nightie I couldn't work out how to turn on the air con, and without instructions for calling reception I had to open the windows, even though we'd paid extra for a sound proof room. There was no water all day across the town, which wasn't their fault, but the half litre left in the room wasn't enough. The mini bar wasn't really a mini bar, just water, and they offered no discount for the inconvenience.

The connection was easily the fastest I've had in Italy, with strong coverage and speeds around 45-55Mbit's. The hotel is well located, the staff are pleasant, breakfast was good, and the underground garage is handy. I also liked the Hermes bathroom products. One caveat: the apartment is in a separate building and doesn't include cleaning or breakfast. Housekeeping there could be more thorough, since there wasn't any soap left.

The staff were really friendly, and breakfast was decent. Right in central Pontedera, with bars, restaurants, shops, and other stores close by. The place has a rustic feel, is very clean, and has good facilities, including meeting rooms if you need them. Lovely stay.

We stayed at Hotel Armonia in the week before our wedding and the night afterward, and they even gave us the Honeymoon Suite free for two nights after we booked a block of rooms for our guests. Everyone was amazed by how helpful the staff were. They arranged cabs, reservations, nail appointments, dry cleaning, and more, and were so good to us. The breakfast and coffee were the best we had on the whole trip. Pontedera is a great Tuscan base if you'd rather stay somewhere less touristy, where the food is better, and it has train connections to most places in Tuscany. Hotel Armonia is about a five-minute walk from the station. The hotel is beautiful and reasonably priced, and the city was great too. We'll be back.
