Hotel Pisa Valdera

The manager’s response to the water leak was terrible. When I checked in, I found the carpet in my room completely wet, but I hadn’t even had time to open my luggage, let alone take a shower. Still, his first response was to say I’d showered with the door open and let water into the room. I explained that I’d just arrived, but he kept repeating that I needed to close the door when showering. Then he said it was still OK for me to sleep there. He never listened to what I was telling him. The facilities were awful too. They wouldn’t even turn on the AC when I kept asking. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

The next morning, when my husband tried to check out, staff told him the manager wanted to discuss his review. He declined, but they walked away without letting us check out. They then told him to take down the review because what he’d written wasn’t true. I can assure you it was, and other people here are describing the same problem. After the discussion, my husband just wanted to leave. The woman at reception made him sign a paper saying his review was untrue before she finally let us check out. He’s now trying to get a copy of the paper, but they say they won’t send it unless we remove the review. It all felt very childish. We were already frustrated by the air conditioning. It didn’t work in the first room we were given. We told the staff, and they fixed it after an hour, but the room was still hot. We knew the AC in that room wasn’t working properly because, after we were moved to another room, the difference was clear: the AC was stronger and somewhat colder, though still barely. Staff seemed frustrated with us and insisted we were wrong. They’d also told us no other rooms were available. We only got moved because, during a second attempt to fix the AC in the first room, the power wouldn’t come back on, so they had no choice.

There were mosquitoes when we arrived, and the blanket in the room was dirty. The refrigerator was locked, so we couldn’t put drinks in it. There was no hairdryer or kettle for hot water, and WiFi wasn’t free. We paid for a hotel expecting facilities, but there was nothing here. So disappointing, I wouldn’t recommend it 😫😠😡

I was very disappointed by the staff member who stopped me from getting water. There was no hot water in the basement water refiller, so I asked at the counter and the woman told me I could get water from the restaurant. When I went there and tried to use the coffee machine, a man pushed my bottle away and shouted at me in front of everyone. He said my breakfast session was over, so I wasn’t allowed to take water. I told him the woman at the counter had said I could, but he just kept saying, “no, no, no.” It was embarrassing and completely out of line. Most of the staff were polite and friendly, but that man’s rude treatment over a bit of water left me upset and annoyed. As a hotel guest, I was disappointed with the service and attitude. I hope the hotel improves staff behavior so other tourists can have a more pleasant stay.
