Locanda Dei Castagneti

My only gripe is that air conditioning would be useful. Otherwise, the inn is spotless, the rooms are spacious, and breakfast is generous. It’s in a very quiet area that works well as a starting point for trips and excursions. Christian gave us a warm welcome.

The best part for me was breakfast. I often have trouble eating breakfast away from home because of my various intolerances, but the wide choice here meant I had no problems. It was excellent and varied. The room was clean, and the property is wonderfully peaceful. I had a really pleasant weekend, thanks also to Christian and Roberta, who were both kind and helpful. Thanks for everything, see you soon.

Our room was clean, but there wasn’t any reception or staff on site. They called us before we arrived to arrange the keys, then the manager disappeared. The restaurant and bar were closed. Breakfast wasn’t continental, just a few sweet packaged items. The bell tower is right next to the inn.

I’d be glad to come back. The seafood dinner menu was good, and everything was very well prepared. The waitress deserves credit for handling the whole dining room so professionally. The space could use a little updating, though.
